For one, I'm sorry for you people...
...on the other hand we got our pounds for next years holidays yesterday, at an exchangerate of 1,12€ for the pound... In for a cheapy holiday
If it's rezession, what we've got at the mo, I say, we need more of it (in Germany), at least at the moment, I haven't felt as good for many years - finance wise...Although I have to admit, that we've been through it, when the Euro started. All the prices going up and our money being worth nothing.
Last year I discussed the money topic with my friends all over Britain and told them in advance, that if the pound
would go down, it would at least partly be a setup of your government, to force you people into Euro-zone. They always wanted to be part of it. Usually my friends loughed and would say that I have not the real insight into British economy and thinking - they lough no more.
Don't get me wrong, I never wanted the Euro and still I'm not happy with it (I even used to have a sticker "KEEP THE POUND" on the back of my car) but it looks like our government at least did a few things right.
About Hungary: We've been there twice (My father was born there) but we're not coming back. CROWDED with Germans and it's geting ever more expensive and local people geting more unfriendly and after the money...
Anyway, Welcome to Eurozone Great Britain!
