Can anyone recommend a decent site in Holland with at least a swimming pool on and plenty to do in the local vacinity. We have a ten year old boy and a very easy going 18 year old girl. The ladies like the shopping etc. Whilst us boys prefer the sportier things. Typical family really.
Planning on going in July 2009 with a caravan
Thanks foe any help
Neill
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
This company is a pretty good group. Their sites are generally of sound quality, frequently with all services. http://www.landal.co.uk/camping There are a lot of sites in the NW corner of holland, on the coast. No doubts you will get many more leads. Wlee knows what he is talking about, he lives there.
Best of luck

Try Kijkduinpark, on the outskirts of The Hague and just over the dunes from the beach. Pool, lots of things to do, it's a big site. It's part of the 'Roompot Parken' chain in Holland. English version of website:
We stayed at Duinrell last Easter - but in a static caravan as it was too early in the season for campng pitches as we only had a trailer tent then, not a touring caravan. Pool was fantastic and free theme park pretty good too. Nice little town of Wassenaar (sp?) easy walking/cycling distance. Great pancake restaurant just outside park entrance. Not far from beach. Great day out visiitng Keukenhof (sp?) Gardens and Zanse Shans (sp?) Museum.
Duinrell looks fantastic ...... we went to RCN Val de Cantobre last year, but I found France expensive ... whereas I had always found it to be good value ....
my question is ..... on the on-linebooking there is an option to pre book your space ... I have a caravan.......where on the site would you recommend? My party is 2 adults, 3 kids aged 8/6/2 .... we want a central location, but quiet after 11pm ..... I would be looking to go in August ....
BTW - have you been in August .... what is it like?
