Anyone have any recommendations for campsites close to eurodisney? Needing somewhere that has close proximity to train direct to Euro or shuttle bus service. Usually would be going in my Bongo but flying over 2nd Sept with a friend & our 2 kids so hoping to hire a static and so don't want to be forking out on car hire etc

There is a lovely site at Berny Riviera and they run a coach to Euro disney from the site every week. It is about an hour from eurodisney. It is quite a popular site and a lot of people from this forum have written about it.  Hope this helps.

This site http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=6405 is South of Paris at Fontainebleau, is 10 mins walk from a rail station (direct to gare de Lyon) and hires chalets and mobile homes per night. Doesn't tick all your boxes, but maybe worth a look.

Sometimes it can be cheaper to book a 'package' to Disney - especially if it's outside of school holidays. My sister and her family checked out the prices for taking their car and a hiring a static, flying and hiring a static, and ended up with a package staying at one of the Disney resort hotels - which was cheaper than either of the other options!

Alternatively, have you looked at the Kawan Villages website Kawan Villages - Belle Etoile - there's a site at Melun, (La Belle Etoile) 1.5 km from the railway station, with a shuttle bus, 25 mins by train to Paris (doesn't state the time to Eurodisney), and a mobile home for up to 6 people will cost from 177 euros for four nights from 2nd September, or a Trigano tent for up to 4 people from 126 euros.

Just noticed your 'tag' - Bouldering Fletchers - does that mean you climb?  If so, my sons recommend the bouldering in the forests at Fontainbleau - not that far from La Belle Etoile.  They had a couple of days there in summer 2008 on their way back from a surfing holiday at Lacanau.

Jablins is a nice site only 10 mins drive from Disney.  I am sure they do a bus from the site.  Statics to hire or camping.

Would check the price of Disney hotel's may get a cheap deal, if you have an annual pass up to 50% discount could apply.

Enjoy yourself

Thank you for all your replies and advice, will be probably going for the camping options over the package options, like the idea of outdoors more than hotels!

Thanks Val A for the link to Kawan, and yes bouldering is a major factor in our holidays planning, and we are hoping to take a trip to Bleau this summer.
