We've spent 4 month in a nice camping site close to Denia/Alicante. This camping is 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. We loved it because it was very relaxing and quiet. It is a small familiar camping and the prices are just great. Only 229 € a month. We are thinking about to leave our caravan here on the site for 1900€. So we can drive or fly to Spain whenever we love. I've found them last year on internet www.losllanos.net and made the reservation through email.
Camping Monmar is in the coastal town of Moncofar. Exit 49 of A7 Autovia. Friendly family run site. Approx 40 km from Valencia and equi distance to Castellon. The site is less than 5 mins to a great beach. has a swimming pool on site and a water park next door. They also take camping cheques. Hope this helps. Jan
I didn't know that anyone else did post something about Los Llanos. Sorry, I thought tihs is a messega boards where campers can give a feed back of places they did stay. We just loved it there also because we have a dog and he could run around on the beach every day and also because it very quiet here, just a small familiar site.
I found this campinsite on this website as you mentioned before, but it is always difficult to book a pitch for a month if one doesn't know it and especially with pets.
Thank you for your replies. I've looked at the different camping sites. If they got wifi on there can I also use tescointernet phone or skype to keep in touch with my family at home? Last year we were near Malaga on a camping and couldn't connect to it.
I'm thinking to go to Denia in May. The port and beaches seem to be nice.
On the site we stayed, Los Llanos in Denia, we bought a one month connection to wifi for 40 Euros flatrate. We could connect Tescointernetphone but also Skype without problems. But I think I've seen somewhere in the forum also a topic about wifi.
The beach is close to the camping and especially if you bring your pet with you, it will also be paradise for him. Dogs can run around on the beach and go for a swim in the sea. Our "Mr. Wrinkles" just loved it.
After a month on this site I've realised how it was. First we had loads of fun with our pets on the beach. But after some weeks we've seen that the installations were in a mess, especially on weekends. Yes, this place is cheap, but they only have one cleaning person for the whole week and on weekends there is noone who spieaks English.
We first thought, that those loud spanisch campers, who where chatting and laughing all night throug would have to leave as the owner said. But in the end he decided to keep the loud ones (there where two of them). So when we left there where hardly any campers there.
I wouldn't go there anymore. There are other places just nearby which are quiet and clean.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We stayed 4 month at Los Llanos in Denia/Spain. There we had a fast Wifi-Connection for 40€ per month flat rate. So we could keep in touch with our family at home using skype. Some camping sites provide this service.
No I*m not Spanish and I*m not the owner or in any connection with him! We live in Maidstone and just went to Spain over the wintertime. But at the begining I was very fond of the site. But after many sleeples nights and a fire at the electricity installation on our pitch the great time on the beach with our pets just lost value.
SpampMan: No, soy Suiza, vivo 6 años en Maidstone y hablo 5 idomas.
So I`m wondering what you are thinikng Naebother. We are camper. that`s why I`m on here.
