Hi Chutney
We went August last year and really loved it. We would go back this year if we could.
I drove from Zeebrugge to the site in one go, towing our caravan, we left the port at 09.30 and arrived about 18.00 ish.
We don't go mad driving, but felt it achievable in one, because the french motorways are so good, and we invested in a car DVD for my daughter.
We had plenty of stops and made sarnies for the journey.
Weather wise, we had one day where it poured down, but the weather for the rest of the 2 weeks we were there was 70 - 80 degrees and sunny.
The site is big, but well run. The shops are handy but a bit dear, local supermarkets are 15 minutes drive away and cheaper.
Kids will love the lake and the water park, we went everyday. The lake gets a lot of locals at weekends but is fairly empty during the week.
I wish we had taken our bikes to explore a bit more, they could be hired, but its not the same is it.
Satellite reception is good, with a normal dish and receiver, I paid for wireless, about 30 euro but didn't have a lot of success from our pitch (near the lake).
We drove back to Zeebrugge in one go, albeit a day early, to guarantee the ferry, and had a day round Brugges.
You'll have a great time, I'm jealous already.
Cheers
Paul
