Presume you have followed the link above. Our last visit was in 2007, but have used the site several times. If your only offspring is 11 mths then i would be a bit iffy perhaps. The site is more tuned to young children and teenagers. Paricularly in high season, there are some centres des vacances which are tented villages for school kids to go as a party, and whenever we have encountered them, the teachers have kept the kids in very good order, nonetheless you do get a fair bit of excited noise, particularly if you re pitch is anywhere near theirs.
The parc is brilliant, with loads of activities, but again not much use to an 11 mth old.
We have never attempted the walk into town, I suspect there may be a pedestrian route, but Angers is a big commercial city, and the route to the camping is via a virtual motorway which passes through the town centre, and crosses the river. It would n't be my choice for a pleasant stroll.
On the other hand, the area round about is lovely to see, Angers is well worth a visit, you have access to the LOire to the west of Angers which is particularly attractive, and well worth the effort to make a visit. Just would not think it is the most suitable site with the little one if you are at all concerned about distrubance,
FM
