Hi people,

just trying to sort out a stop on the way back to Calais later in the year. I'm looking for somewhere between Rouen & Abbeville, for a one night stop, easy-ish access from the A28.

Found one in the CC Europe book, but very limited info (Camp Municipal Les Etangs, Blangy sur Bresle). Any help or recommendations greatly appreciated!

Thanks v much

Edit! Found a number in Abbeville, but hoping to stop closer to Rouen if anyone can help at all - thanks.

We're stopping at Val de Trie which is close to Abbeville. Not been there before though. There were also a nice looking Castels site nearer the Normandy end of things - sort of south of Honfleur. It was called Brevedent or something similar. We were going to stop there but wanted somewhere closer to Calais.

Theres a cheap campsite at Neufchatel-en-Bray just off the A28 about 20miles outside Rouen toward Abbeville. Its a popular overnight stop & signposted as you enter the town.

Hi Glyn.

We stayed at the Municipal Les Etangs, Blangy sur Bresle last June 2nd. It is very easy to find from the A28 and the access is good. It is by the ponds and river so pretty flat. The toilets and shower were clean.

The position is lovely, in a wide valley with some good views.

The pitches are partially hedged and the grass was cut.

We didn't require ehu but I am certain that was avaliable.

We drove into Blangy sur Bresle which isn't far but we were feeling lazy. It was a bit quiet and I think it was too late for anything to be open.

We stayed one night on the way south and I would recommend it as an excellent stopover.

Belinda

we stopped at Chartres Municipal last year on the way down, bit further out than you want but worth recommending.
