Hi guys,

I'm looking for a campsite near to Calais that has Static (for parents) and tent (for us) pitches.  I am also looking for Adult only for that bit of peace and quiet. 

Don't want to travel anymore then 2/3hrs max from Calais.

Can anyone help

This site isnt adult only,but its reasonably quiet.

You dont really get adults only sites in France, but kids do tend to be better behaved over there. However here is a very quiet site close to Calais that is a small campsite & it also does accomadation in the farmhouse. http://lespiloteries.free.fr/ACCUEILANG.html

What time of year are you going? If its outside of July/August all campsite, apart from those near the coast, will be quiet so your need for adults only might not be necessary. I also tend to agree with Karim about the availability of adult only sites in Europe. It does seem a peculiarly British idea. You could look at the likes of Eurocamp as they do independent camping as well as statics on a lot of their sites.

Chateau du Gandspette at Eperlecques, Nord Pas de Calais, is a nice campsite only 30 mins from Calais and 10 kilometres from Saint Omer its not adult only.  To be quite honest I have not come across an adult only campsite in France, thats not saying there are not any but I have never come across them

Forgot to add if you are going low season, you can book through Holiday Cheque, www.holiday-cheque.co.uk for between £33 - £41 per night depending on when you go, for a mobile home complete with raised terrace

Thanks to all of you who have replied, I will look at those links swanseajack & karim and also check out that campsite lyanabint.

David Klyne we are looking at the week commencing 15th June 09 to miss the 6wk school hols
