La Croix du Vieux Pont at Berny Riviere is about an hour from Disneyland Paris, and has a huge range of activities for all ages.

Hi Yank.

Have you been before, if not avoid August, I went on a freebie some years back, and took our son who was 12 at the time, never again, could not get on most of the good rides due to the amount of folk there, probably OK outside of June/July/August, thing is they built the place in the wrong part of the country, it should have been down in the South, or Spain even, what were they thinking of.

Les 4 Vents, 20 minutes drive from Disney and in a very pleasant area of countryside.

we went feb half term and it was packed, I cant imagine how packed it would be in the summer. Make sure you wear comfy shoes is my top tip (sorry to sound negative)

I would second Vals suggestion, its over a hours drive which is tiring at the end of a long day in the park.

You must go on the Tower of Terror, its fantastic.

I went in August and it was fine if you time your fast passes correctly.  We were amazed (and bearing in mind we have no kids) about the amount of hours you can spend at both parks (we went for three whole days).  You get back very late and very tired so i would also recommend Les 4 Vents which was lovely.

As an aside if you are planning on going for more than 2 days it is better to buy an annual pass which also gives you 10-20% (depending on what type of pass you get) off food and all purchases.  We did this and saved loads.

Also if you are interested i could sponsor you as a owner of an annual pass which would mean that you would also get a further 10% of the price off an annual pass.

Have a wicked time...and defo do Tower of Terror...it rocks!

I was considering going the end of august with my 4 kids but have decided against it,they simply refuse to que (cant blame them for that) and am also regretting getting legoland annual passes as they hate queing. The other saturday at legoland the Q for the new indiana \Jones ride was nearly two hours.

I think that if you are going to go in any school holiday it is busy...we have been at some point over the years at all times during the school breaks (as a teacher we cannot avoid it) and it is busy.  We did not find August any more busy as say Easter or New Year.

As an aside you can buy fast passes from ebay which will mean you can run more than one fast pass at a time.  We queued for say 20-30 mins for all the big rides using fast passes and never more than 40 and we went last year at the height of August (one tip do the most popular rides during the parades!)

Another vote for La Croix du Vieux Pont There's plenty there for all the kids to enjoy and as said about an hour or so from Disney, they also lay on a coach there and back if you don't fancy the drive.

We went last August, and to be honest didn't have a great deal of problems with queues, except on the runaway train, which broke down while we were queueing.  That said, my 2 still prefer Parc Asterix over Disneyland.

I can secound the recommendation for Jabline its a fairly small site which also has some small lodges near to a lakeside beach. The toilet block was good and throughly cleaned everyday, just a pity it was at 8 in the morn! Its a very easy 15min drive to the park entrance (the queue to go through the parking booth often takes longer!) Or you can take a bus from the the park entrance. Security was very good, you are given a unique code which operates barrier and two gates at night. We loved it and have been twice, once Oct half term the secound Easter. I would be suprised if you could book for Aug as its very popular.
