Where are you getting them from? I use this excellent website http://www.archiescampings.eu/eng1/ They are usually downloaded as a zip file which you must first unpack. I usually put the files on the desktop. You then need to copy the POI's into the map folder on Tom Tom and don't forget the small image file. On the above website as part on the zip file are instructions on how to set them up.
hi chippy. Save the file onto your desk top. Then unzip it. The download may have a few versions of the poi's to cater for various satnav types. You require two files for Tomtom, ie asci.ov2 and asci.bmp. The bmp is the little symbol that shows on the tomtom map, the ov2 is coordinates. Paste these two into the actual map folder on tomtom,(ie Western Europe Map)

hi Chippie. Select "Change Preferences" on tomtom.(Page 1 of menu). Select "Show POI on Map" (page 1 of Preferences). Your New POI should appear on list
Tom Tom is a little shy about these things! What I do is navigate to the town of the campsite I am interested in and then go back and select POI's near destination and your campsite should show up and just click on that and create a new instruction.
