We are going to France later in the year and I have been doing a little research on how much petrol and tolls etc will cost during our stay (just rough estimates) and come across Liber-t.
Can anyone tell me how it works and if its open to the UK.
Any help would be appreciated
(Ps I know there is loads of info on the net about this however most of it is in French and my french is quite limited)
Cheers
Rach

We have also looked into this and believe its only open to French residents as advised by a French colleague of the OH. Its a card that allows a discount for commuting up and down the same piece of toll road on a regular basis. Have you looked into working out a toll free route to your site ? Lots of advice on this in the forum.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Its the first time I have driven in France so I wanted it to be as straight forward as possible and unfortunately that means using the toll roads!!! mmm I may have a think about alternative routes though :-)
Look at www.viamichelin.co.uk put in your details and it will give you the recommended route, a route without tolls if you use options and also quickest and shortest routes. We usually use short journeys on the autoroute(tolls) mixed with free parts of the autoroutes and main roads without tolls

Libert-T, I believe is open to holders of a French Bank account. At least that's how a french friend expalined it to me - it offers some discounts and quick access through toll booths.
