Hi can anyone tell me the best route from Bilboa to L'Estartit in Spain we are going in June this year with our caravan and have not travelled this way before. Also can we stay on the dock at Bilboa on the way back for one night like you can in Calais or can anyone recommend a campsite in Bilboa for the return journey

Post on the caravaning and camping abroad forum for possibly more replies.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

You can stay on the dock at Bilbao overnight before sailing , we did in march when returning from Portugal

Don't know if http://www.multimap.com/directions/?qs_1=Bilbao&countryCode_1=ES&qs_2=L%27Estartit+&countryCode_2=ES&mode=driving is any use?
Hi thanks I will look into these regards Abbiebabby
Hi there. Just come back from Vilanova, equi distance between Tarragona and Barcelona. For us the best route was autovia all the way from Bilbao. As you come out of the docks just follow the ring road and signs to Lleida, this will then put you on AP68 down to Zaragoza then follow the signs to Barcelona and after that the signs for L'Estartit. It is an easy route, well signposted all the way. Have been to L'Estartit quite a few times and it's a really nice place. Also, we stayed on the docks at Bilbao Sunday night. We arrived there at about 8pm and went straight into lane 18. Hope this helps and have a great holiday. Hopefully, we will be going that way again in September. Jan

We have a Lunar Caravan with a fridge that has an intimitant fault, took the van to our local caravan clinic in Gateshead and they tested the fridge and said it was ok. Brought the van back home - fridge not working. We are going to Spain with the van i n two weeks - not looking forward to going with a fridge that does'nt work - antone has this bother that can give us any advice. the fridge is a Dometic make and the van is about 6 years old. Any help would be greatly appreciated. regards Ann
you sure it's the fridge and not a dodgy connection to the car. Our lunar lexon 640 fridge would never work when attached to the car. We never did find out what the problem was.
Hi there, it depends on what route you want to take. We've done Bilbao to Albefeira stopping at caceres. We've also gone through or should I say around Madrid, again with one stopover. So it's really best to choose which way you want to go and to what part of Portugal you're going. We will hoprfully be going back to Portugal this coming winter but we may well start from St Malo and drive through France and Spain. Haven't made up our minds just yet cos there's still plenty of time. Jan
