You need to be a bit more specific, were do you want to go in France? If you want a longer season you need to be down on the Med coast.

Do you intend to commute to your caravan by air? If so you might be better siting it is southern Spain.

I have a contact in the South of France (Frejus) who does storage at a reasonable rate. You then e mail him or phone him and he delivers your caravan to the Campsite of your choice in that area-so you are only actually paying campsite fees when you are using it. I have used him for 15 years plus and was the best thing that I ever did. Some of the campsites down there are open all year round and the climate is very similar to Northern Spain. I reguarly fly down to mine using a budget airline. It certainly extends the season. All I can say is its the best thing that I ever did! If you need any more info please e  mail me at yorkshiretraining at hotmail.co.uk Good luck

Jean

A campsite near the channel ports in Northern France would have a climate the same as southern UK.

Camping municipals are local council run campsites found in most French towns, basic sites but generally with good toilets/showers, only open in spring/summer tho.

As previously stated if you want a campsite with reasonable weather almost all yr round you need to be on the Mediteranean coast.
