Haven't stayed on the site you mention, but you'll actually find many sites in France are 'adult only' outside the peak holiday season - and August Bank Holiday is outside the French high season by about two weeks for most sites.
We go around the end of August and only rarely have there been any children on site when we've been - and we've been to lots of sites throughout France over many years.
Have a great holiday, though. France is a lovely place to camp.
If you are thinking of making it an annual thing, then there are discount schemes which can bring down the prices of French campsites significantly - these are www.campingcheque.co.uk, www.campingcard.com, www.touringcheques.co.uk, and www.vacancesoleil.co.uk - all offer a variety of sites, mostly larger sites, but as said, in low season very often children free - and can be very quiet indeed, but with facilities on site should you need or want to use them.
