Well I finally did it... or at least am on the way to! "Do what" I hear you say? Well I am a five star hotel lubber, and despite my threats of trying vanning again.. the closest I have got over the years, was renting a six birth mobile home for the holidays in NZ. Well as many may have seen my queries about "what van is best" etc over the months, I just had a trip back to old blighty and bought one and in the process of shipping to NZ. So its a newbie in the vanning fold!

NOW! Does anyone on the site have some good parks or experiences of camping in NZ or any links that I dont know about? I must admit, I am a bit excited at the prospects, but daunted at the new things I need to learn about.

Any sound advice (other than don't do it mate? lol

I'm not sure if you've seen all the other postings about New Zealand - perhaps there's some useful information in these.

Just bumping your posting back to the top, too.

Yes - for new users to the site, it's always worth a search first.  This forum is a minefield of information, with some very knowledgeable contributors.

I'm glad you found it useful.  My friend is going to New Zealand shortly, to visit his daughter who lives in Tauranga,  Bay of Plenty.
