Your best route will be just using the N roads that run along side the toll sections of the Autoroutes, just look at a map & you will see what I mean, most of the old N roads have been reclassified as D roads. ie the old N1 which avoids the toll section between Boulogne-Abbeville is now the D901.
You are then toll free Autoroute, Abbeville-Rouen after that just follow the roads that run parallel with the A13 toll autoroute to Caen. Alternatively you could follow the route of the A29 toll road via le Harve.
Watch the signposts to major towns, blue sign with peage will also have a green sign giving you the toll free route. You are never directed onto a peage without being given a toll free alternative.
