You may have a bit of a struggle at toll booths with no adult passenger, obviously the toll machines are on the wrong side of the car. Might be wise to invest in a grabbing stick to take tickets and hand over notes at the toll booth.

On single carriageway roads always remember that if you want to get fuel, pull up at a shop etc DON'T pull over to the other side of the road as you may forget yourself and drive off on the left!

Generally don't panic. The roads are a lot quieter and on dual carriageways lane discipline is usually excellent, although on the rarer 3 lane autoroutes lane discipline does rather go out of the window.

Well i think hats off to you, you are very brace and not because it is a scary experience because hand on heart IT IS NOT, just because I admire what you are doing. Many people would not do it.  The route you will tk from Calais to Disney is really straightforward. You are taking the A16 from Calais?  or the A1.  I drive down to Paris on the A16 all the time and it is quite, great surface, lots of aire's (laybys) and really quite a pleassant experience, especially compared to our nightmare roads.  It is a faster and easier transaction to use your credit card at the peage.  The first peage you will come to you take a ticket and then at the second peage when you leave to motorway you pay, just hand your card over and its as easy as that. You get use to driving on the right quickly as you go with the flow of traffic.  Don't panic, be logical and read the signs.  it is a far less stressful experience than driving in the UK and good for you. Once you have madde the decision to do it with your 6 year old alone you are halfway there.  Tom TOm a definate - makes life really stress free.

No need to worry, route from Calais to DisneyLand Paris is really easy - done it twice and it's autoroute all the way and as they are toll they are just about empty until you get to the bit around Paris (which is free).
