Any suggestions for easy route towing caravan to Malaga from St.Malo and where to stop overnight would be appreciated. Travel in Jan out and March back.

Can't help with routes either but love the Malaga area. We spent Christmas there in 2008 and it was fantastic, blue skies and warm days. Nice and quiet too. Enjoy!!  xx

Here goes,
St Malo - Niort - Nantes - Bordeaux - Bayonne - Irun - Burgos - Madrid - Bailien - Cordoba - Malaga.

Not sure about where to stop overnight but am sure there is a couple of nice sites en-route.

I assume with you been in Malaga for 3 months you have no plans to nip into Gibralter for supplies.

Thanks Suedarbo, Askill and Ben9 for replies. Suedarbo - haven't decided on Malaga campsite yet. ASkill - where did you you stay in Malaga and was it OK? Ben9 - route suggested is perfect - and yes, we will get to Gib !!

Yes!   That route you've been given is a good one and one I've taken each winter for several years.   Don't know what time you're leaving St Malo, but if you have time to travel around 300 miles in the first day, Twinlakes would make a first good stop.

If you do go to Gib leave the car at La Linea and walk across the border. Parking on Gib is always difficult

I disagree -   Getting in and out of Gib is nowhere near as slow as it once was.  It's worth taking your vehicle with you if only to fill up with diesel at 68p per litre.  (Price last March)  There's also a Morrisons supermarket with fuel filling station and huge car park.
