Just glancing through the C&CC Winter Sun booklet i noticed that Bien Assise is now open all year, this should prove useful as there is a lack of good quality sites in this area that are open all year, and as a bonus they take the ACSI Camping Card.


Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Someone had pointed this out elsewhere, I agree there is certainly a need for a decent all year campsite in the Calais area. Interestingly the campsite webpage still only shows it as being open from April to the end of September.

We spent a couple of nights there in May, and according to one of the girls in reception, they close in September.

The C&CC sometimes do special deals with campsites for people travelling south but I'm not sure if that means they're open to everyone or just C&CC bookings.

I phoned the campsite, (1p a minute using 1899.com) and they seemed to say the bar, restaurant etc would close at the end of September but the pitches would still be available after then.  Perhaps someone staying there could confirm this at the office.
