We are at Camping L'ideal on the edge of the Lake for a week in early August..glad to hear the weather is scorchio....!

Hi Just arrived back home and spent 6 nights in in annecy la ravoire campsite not sure of spelling the place was lovely and as others say very warm and we had a few thunder storms during the night one was the most fantastic storm i have ever seen even if it was at 4 am lol Sophie and her friend Emma where sleeping in our pop up tent but came into the motorhome that morning. We went paragliding allthought expensive 85 euro each its well worth it as you get a fantastic view of the lake and the surrounding area.

bryan we went too the lake near l ideal and it was lovely not so much os a beech but nice place to lie or sit while kids play in the sun, we found it seemed to get hotter late afternoon so if kids with you make sure they put suncream on even after 4pm as im sure you would anyway but i think you will have a great time its a long drive but well worth it we did tolls on way down and only small part of toll on way back as had more time.
