We are hoping to get a weekend away in November and want to go to France but leave the caravan at home (intentionally - not just forget to hook it up and drive off without it!) and book into a family room at a cheapish hotel possibly in Lille.
Had intended travelling across using Eurotunnel as I hate ferries - bring on the sick bag, claustrophoia on the car deck and pushing and shoving chavs up and down the stairwells etc. etc. No thank you.
However someone my oh was talking to yesterday said "why don't you go across on the Sea Cat from Dover to Boulogne". Has anyone any experience of doing this? Is it any quicker than the ferry from Dover to Calais as if not then I'm deffo not even entertaining the idea. Where would I find out about cost etc.?
Grateful for any help or advice as always.
