Does anyone have experience of driving from Roscoff to Dordogne (Sarlat) via west coast vs the Loire? We'll be driving down next weekend and want to attempt to miss the busiest route, would really appreciate your views on this. (According to mappy.fr, there's not much difference in km).
Thanks, pj

i go rennes laval, angers, poitoers, angouleme,,perigueux then head for grand roc .lovelly drive .often stop by saumer in big layby with toilets etc n a park. again in perigueux and have a walk by the river . also by grand roc n look at the houses n hotel stuck to the cliff .its beutifull. can i come. cheers alan
I'd say vwalan has given a good route. Your main problem will prob be Perigueux as the signage will take you close to the town centre but it is quite easy to follow and they finished the roadworks on the route last week!
