If anyone made the Portsmouth - St Malo Crossing overnight with cabins (car  not trailer) this summer could they let me know how much this cost.  We plan to use this next year in peak time - possibly even at weekends.

Using this September as a guide it will cost £745.  Seems a lot.  The dates for next year are not there yet but it will only get more expensive.  I wonder if it would be worth joining C&CC?  Can't imagine you save much though!

The speedferries crossing Dover - Boulogne can be as little as £50 return and only takes 55mins.  I used it this year and drove to Brittany (about 5 hours) for the money i saved its worth the drive, even with 2 young kids.

The cheapest crossing on Speed Ferries, if you pick the 'right' sailing time, is £44 each way.

Phil.

Wardy

Had a great time in France apart from the wind and the rain, but we did have some sun.  We bought the annual passes and what great value they are only 9 euros more expensive than a 3 day hopper pass.  Will be using them again in May half term and probably start of next summer hols, and you never know me and the missus might get a couple of nights at a Paris hotel with no kids, but maybe thats to optimistic!!!

Hi Graeme

Sounds like  you had a good holiday, you really are going to get your moneys worth out of the passports

Cant understand disneyland, why dont they promote the annual passports, people would definatly take extra trips there and the extra money they would make in the shops resturants and hotels.

Do you really think the kids would be happy staying at home while you went to disney I no I would not get away with that one.

Which camp site did you stay at and how did you rate it.

Hi lazycamper92

try this website www.dlp-guidebook.de/  for lots of info on disneyland and the annual passports, we bought the fantasy passports in may, they cost us 119 euros for 12 months it is the same price for adults and children, because we bought four we got 15% off. I think there are about 12 days in the year you cant use the fantasy passport but there are other advanages  e.g free parking saving 8 euros a day and 15% off in the shops and resturants. we got our moneys worth out of the passports in one trip and we are going back in dec 04 and it wont cost us anything to get in disney, no dout we will make up for that in the shops.
