We are going to Piantelle at Lake Garda on Thursday.  We chose this site because it's a small family run site, but also has a pool, shop and restaurant.

In 2006 we stayed at Camping La Riva on the river where it flows into the northern end of lake Como.  A very pleasant family run site with shops, including hypermarket nearby.  I've put a review in the campsite search section.  We had a very pleasant large riverside pitch with lake and mountain views.

I'd highly recommend this site and gladly go back.  We, also, stayed in 2007 at Campeggio La Riva San Pietro at Marone on Lake Iseo.  Lakeside pitch with views to die for and very friendly English speaking family owners.  Again highly recommended and review in campsite search.

We loved Lks Iseo and Como.
