Did the evening crossing 4 weeks ago, I guess that check in opens at 1hr 45 min before departure but we saw people arrive at check in about 40 mins before departure. We boarded 15 min from departure and I thought LD were pretty relaxed about the whole departure bit, so I wouldn,t worry about the 1h 45 min bit.

Food was nice and tasty. Last night they had a choice of fish & chips & mushy peas, lasagne (meat or veggie), chicken legs, curry, chicken casserole, bean casserole. Various French flans/tarts for pudding. It was something like 10 euros for a main course and pudding.

Re boarding - we were told it opens 2 hours before departure and closes 45 minutes before. We boarded earlier on the French side than when we left the UK - maybe an hour before departure. There seemed to be more hanging around on UK side for us. Overall we were very impressed and would used them again.
