Yes the entrance to the site is opposite the beach, you have to cross a railway line though. The crossing has flashing lights and a barrier but is unmanned, we did see a few silly people crossing after the barriers came down but otherwise had no problems. To get to the site you need to drive through a housing estate and it looks pretty awful but don't let that put you off, I think its because they direct all the caravans etc away from the sea front to stop the build up of traffic. As for the best part of the site I think its personal choice, as I said in the other post we were in section A which was quite near to the entrance just opposite the small pool near the front.
