Lots of good reviews about this site and it's in the area we want to visit next year. The only downside we can see is that its a couplke of miles from the town if you want a drink off site on a night. Has anyone caught a taxi in to town from here if so how much was it and any other comments.
Thanks
Dave

It's a lovely site - there is a bar on site, and a little pizza restaurant just outside the entrance to the site (as well as on site restaurant) but not much else within walking distance, so you would be relying on taxis if you wanted to drink.
yes it is as the nearest bars are approx 10 to 15 minute drive away.
You can buy a pint at the site restaurant or the pizza place just outside site. If you email the site they will probably give you an idea of the taxi cost. They had a poster up advertising a local taxi company.
Brilliant site and region by the way.
Don't let the availability/proximity of booze influence your decision. It's a great site, very well run and as others have said, there's a good bistro on site. We used this several times while there in June with no complaints.
Great restaurants at La Grande Cote and Palais sur mer no more than ten minutes away. Why not do your dining away from the site at lunchtime then you can use the very good bus service that stops at the entrance and links all the caravan sites with the coastal areas. This is cheap and frequent. We did on several occasions and it saved a lot of hassle.

thats interesting Vic to hear about the bus service as with the motorhome that is the one thing that has put me off Logis. Can you remember how often and how much it was on the bus?

Domaine du Verdon Castellane and Etoile d'Argens Frejus Aug
It's not so much proximity to booze as enjoying a glass of wine with dinner and soaking up the atmosphere watching the sun setting over the sea. If there is bus then that is equally as good thanks.

In June IIRC it was half hourly with the fare depending on how far you were going. Again IIRC it was about €1.50 to go to Palais sur Mer. I also seem to remember a rover style ticket which allowed to to hop on and off wherever you liked.
It's called Cara'bus. Just Google this name for more info.
Cheers!

We noticed lots of Cara'buses this year, I'm grateful for your info Vic as I'd like to spend more than 2.5 weeks of the 6 week school holidays at Logis. We are a bit restricted as Hubby can only take 2.5 weeks in the summer, and we take his car down to France. I don't want the hassle of car hire just to visit the beach and Carrefour. Maybe the Cara'bus is the answer.
Just want to know if anyone knows of anywhere else these buses are used?
There was a free bus service, linking La Tranche Sur Mer with other areas this year when we were there.
Information like that would influence where we would go, as it would mean leaving the car and not having to look for parking.

Like I said, try Googling Cara'bus. The apostrophe is important. This may indicate services in other areas.
Excellent! When are you going? I hope you have a fab time, I can't believe I've been back 2 weeks, some of the friends I made are still there until the site closes at the end of the season. And they've had lovely weather. Oh to be retired!!!
