Hi Suzanne
We have stored our caravan at Torre for the first time last year, this is now our second year.We did have to pay the whole year when we left it there for the first time. No you dont't have to phone ahead to arrange storage just talk to reception when you are there. But they do need some form of documentation for the caravan (we used a copy of our insurance) Bob is lovely but not good on the phone. Driving down we did it in two stops the first two hours from Calais just off the A26 and the second just past Lyon off the A7. When we towed we went the A26 towards Paris reims and Troyes then A5 Chaumont A31 towards Djon and Beaune where you join the A6 towards Lyon The A7 at Orange joing the A9 for Nimes and Perpignan Follow signs for Barcelona cross the boarder the follow the A7 I think it is exit 36. But now when we drive we go through the mountains as it is cheaper and quicker wouldn't recommend towing this route.
Hope this helps good luck if you want any more info just ask.
