If your looking for a beach Holiday in France, why Northern France, surley after all that effort to get accross the channel, why not head for the South were the guaranteed Soleil is?.
We like Camping de la Piscine, Beg Meil, (Benodet area) family owned & nice atmosphere. It's a 20 min walk to the beach or 5 mins in car with free parking. 2 good supermarkets nearby and several places of interest to visit. Others speak well of Du Letty on the edge of Benodet, next to the beach but no pool.
We love Brittany even though sun is not guaranteed and it's relatively uncrowded even in August, probably because many others go further south :)

Dunno if you noticed but its actually no effort to cross the channel, the effort is all once you reach France & the further you have to drive the greater the effort.
whats the hurry lots of nice places every where . cant see the need to book just turn up. who knows where you will be tomorrow. its not a race to see who can cover the most distance. personaly i dont like med france coast but brittany n the west coast are superb. take it slow relax. cheers alan.
