Hi pager,
Could I ask a favour.
Would you work me out a price for the campsite you have provisionally booked at Lake Garda?
I am finding that it is working out quite expensive for us.
I am curious to know if the figure that I have arrived at is correct.
Would be for caravan two adults, two kids 12yrs and 14yrs, with EHU.
I am not intending to go but was just looking at the website, now curiosity has got the better of me.
Thanks

We have reserved an XXL pitch as this suits us best with a large motorhome. Looking at the site today, the only prices on there are for the expensive lakeside pitches. I cant remember the prices but guess it was roughly between 38-50 euros a night. We are going for 10 nights from 17th-27th August.

Hiya pager33, last time I logged on I'm sure you were going south to France, it's all changed again :-) Lake Garda is lovely, we went with Eurocamp years ago and had a fab time. Especially with the silly swimming hats - hysterical!
That's just what my sons didn't like either - they both adamantly refused to go in the pool (and the little one was only six at the time!). We spent our time in the lake, which fortunately was warm enough - and where little one learned to swim whilst wearing a canoe life jacket!
It was also on the way from the site at Lake Garda that we were 'stopped' by the police and fined a huge amount of money!
We haven't been back to Italy since, although we did actually enjoy the lake and the area!

LOL Askhill, you know me! We are really struggling to choose between Lake Garda and Millau/ South of France. It will be one of these but waiting for the LD lines prices to come out as if we choose France then we'll do an overnight LD crossing. If the ferry prices are high we'll definetly book Lake Garda.

We went to Italy this summer and we thought it was cheaper on the camp site mini supermarket than the supermarkets in France, especially fruit and veg. 4 ripe juicy nectarines were around 80 cents, salad 99 cents. They don't do the massive range of puddings but we didn't mind as we'd worked really hard before going to lose weight, so rather glad to not be tempted to pile it back on. Eating out in Italy and in Venice was lovely, much prefer Italian to French! And the cartons of wine in Italy for around a euro are lovely, brought lots home!!
