Hi Tina,
We visited this site 2 years ago.
Very professional/organised site well suited to families. The facilities are first rate and if you have kids you dont need to leave the site. They also organise day trips to Florence/Sienna/Ghianti for wine supplies.
The site is locked down and all vehicle movement banned during siesta 1.30-3.00pm.
They will not let you onto the site during these hours.the security is first rate if you have children.
As far as pitches go the site has its own but also the major holiday companies have tents/chalets/caravans etc on this site.
We have a 7metre van and had plenty of room.
The site itself is in a valley the entrance at the bottom ,the sides slope up in terraces all with open views.
For tents the ones i saw were at the bottom(entrance level) .Some were on a level section near the amenities. Also some were in a lower section where you had to walk up to the pools/bars etc.
We are both retired but were impressed with the way the place was run.the families there appeared to be having a great time.
If you need a route Rostrevor is the expert(i used his info)
If you give them a call try and find out if you can reserve a pitch it was pretty busy and we went in May
Hope you enjoy it there
Terry
