Hi

I know this is nothing to do with camping/caravanning but  does anybody know anyone or have any connections for a ski chalet?? preferably France but not really bothered where as long as its within 1hr of an airport ,its for Feb 5th 2010 for 1 week for 8 people on a budget ???

Its for my daughter and her friends  and she has trawled the net these last few days and doesnt seem to be off the pc.

We have an apartment in Villars, Switzerland which sleeps 8 at a push (you would need to use the sofa beds). What sort of skiers are they? It is a great family resort with a good mix of runs up to good intermediates but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it if they want a full week of challenging black runs! The apartment is currently available that week but it is also perhaps not that suitable if they want noisy nightlife and clubs on their doorstep. What sort of holiday are they after?

My son's friend has a couple of Ski chalets in Les Contamines in France - and both my sons spend a couple of holidays a year snowboarding there.  They usually fly into Geneva - which is just over an hour away.  They do have the use of a car from Geneva, which I suppose helps, but there must be alternative transport I would have thought.  The chalet has the most amazing views of Mont Blanc from the windows. 

They are a mixed party of 20 - 30 year olds, and appear to have a great time.  Last year they spent New Year's Eve there and did the midnight sledge run, with a party afterwards which appeared to be still going on at 10.00 am the following morning when they telephoned us!  There are a number of different runs - the youngest learned to snowboard there - and each year there's usually a novice or two in the party who go out there.

Unfortunately the website is not working this morning, but if it sounds interesting I'll speak to my son and ask for the telephone contact details.

Would you be able to mail me some details please,such as price firstly,then proximety to an airport,transfers,ski-passes,boot hire etc.... i'm sure when I tell Hannah she will have a list of questions for you if you dont mind.

They are intermediate skiers,1 learner and one who isnt going to be skiing at all,they would want a pub/food  but they arent bothered about lots of nightlife.
