We had a lovely holiday at Le Brevedent this year and was going to return again next year, but I have since found Chateau Martragny in Bayeaux. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has stayed at both of these sites and to hear which you prefer !!!
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Have not stopped at Le Brevent but did have a two week holiday in Martragny in 2007, it is a very pleasant site only a 10 minute drive into Bayeaux and real close to most of the Normandy beach sites, it is also a short drive the Pegasus bridge which is a must see. There is a nice pool on site and a lake for coarse fishing also has a very pleasant bar and restaurant.
Stayed at Martragney this August, thought it was a bit run down to say it was a castel site, and it was bloody expensive 80 euro for 2 nights!!! It has been lovely at one point you can tell, but the grass wanted cutting, the showers and toilets could have done with good clean( same tampon wrapper on the floor for all of our stay) and the crazy golf was all overgrown. Shop fairly well stocked but 2 euro for washing up liquid???? didn't go in bar and restaurant so cant comment on them. It is a fab base tho for Bayeaux and beaches.
