I would think that 180b is alongside pitch 180 - looks like a bit of a squashed in corner pitch to me.
I've posted some pictures of our pitch on 'my gallery' - all the pitches down by the river are low hedged like those shown, and the picture looking out from the pitch is facing down towards pitch 147 which is at the other end of the washblock shown in the picture. As I said we were on pitch 115 - so you can work out the photograph orientation from the campsite map on the Soleil Plage website. The third picture shows how much room we actually had behind the caravan as well as the space you can see in front, on the other photograph. I've more photographs if you're interested.
http://www.soleilplage.fr/plan.pdf we were on pitch 16 which was quite big 1 and 2 are great sizes as well,There's a picture of our outfit on the pitch on my image page and the first photo is of the river at SP
We were on 151 so at the end of the row from 147, our pitch was huge. In that row, 154 was very small, I'd have been very disappointed to have been on there.
147 was in quite a busy location and quite exposed. 180b is very small, only ever saw small tents on that pitch whilst we were there. The only end pitches which still looked private were at the furthest ends.
Lots of people have options on pitches for next year, some which aren't taken up. You may find other pitches available after they have been turned down?

ok thanks for that - i cant believe the only pitches they had left at the end of august were those 2 - it must be popular!! 147 may be too noisy, and i bet 180 is small. They did have other pitches , grand comfort ones, but i gather they are more expensive.
Yes they are, the only difference is they have their own drainage point which is only of use in a van really. Even then, you don't always want to pitch where the drain is. 154 was a grand comfort pitch and certainly not worth even the basic pitch price to be honest .A family pitched with their van and awning and tbh they were virtually sitting on the road, they had to leave their car by the toilets too

We stayed at SP this August and had a great couple of weeks - hope to return in 2011.We were on one of the pitches down from 180. Think 180b must have been the very small pitch, only able to take a small two man tent....and right next to one of the access points to the river. From my recollection 147 was a good size but not particularly private. Although hedged at 3 sides you would be aware of people going to and fro from the toilet block etc. As Adandemsmom says, there will be those people who have options on pitches for next year, who won't take them up. Think we were contacted in December to confirm our option. I'm sure you will find there is a lot more choice at this point.
