Not sure what you want help with. I guess you give him the money & haul it away. If you talk to your bank they can arrange transfer of funds for you. The spanish resident will probably be able to put you in touch with a haulier if it's a large residential or some one to to it if appropriate.
Doubtless someone will put me right but I am not aware of any registration requirements. Again the current owner must be able to advise.
I understand that casravans in spain do need inspecting for gas safety.
Do you mean a touring caravan that is towed on the road? In Spain & most other European countries(but not the UK)Caravans are registered with numberplates, same as cars so you are fairly safe provided you know the procedure.
A good bet could be to google for 'Brits in Spain' type forums & ask on there.

thanks for all the messages, its the "registration of the caravan bit" that Im not too sure about. Im told Spain register the caravan like we register a car. What happens when we purchase a caravan in spain that's registered ?
Out of interest I Googled "touring caravans in Spain" and came up with THIS THREAD ON A FORUM.
Seems that you have to be careful to abide by the Spanish law and ensure you get the logbook and other paperwork for the caravan, as you are liable to end up in court apparently! It must be the same or similar to buying a car, as caravans there have their own logbook and relevant paperwork too.
No doubt there are other bits of info if you Google a bit more.
Once you have legal title to the caravan then you can treat it as a UK caravan, remove the Spanish numberplate & put your UK plate on.
The procedure for buying the caravan must be carried out according to the law in Spain. This could require the current owner to de-register the caravan at the local vehicle registration office.
Do you know the sellers & can you speak Spanish? you need to be very careful that your lack of knowledge of Spanish law does not cause you to end up with a stolen caravan.
There is a guy runs a CL type site down near Malaga he also buys and sells caravans. A very helpful guy who may well be able to help you. You can contact him on "finca delapiedra at yahoo.co.uk"

A touring caravan owned by a Spanish resident has to be registered & carry a numberplate. If the caravan is being sold it will have to be 'logged out' by the owner to transfer title to the new owner. There wil be a procedure that has to be followed.
If you can't be bothered with all that & just hand over a wad of €s for a caravan that could be stolen, then as suggested, just put your UK numberplate on the caravan & leave Spain by the shortest route.
