That's a good deal, cheesystraw! Is that taking your caravan, too? I've mentioned the Camping Cheques offer on a few previous postings, but you're the first one that I know who's booked anything through them.
As I've said previously, there's also a market on here for Camping Cheques, if you're not able to use them.

We are again driving from Cornwall to Dover. Norfolk Line £58.00 RETURN out in May back in June [6 weeks]. Brittany Ferries for same dates £705.00. They even have the cheek to charge you £5.00 for paying with a credit card the balance [due approx. 10 weeks before departure].
Even though we only live 40 miles from Plymouth it is too expensive for us. Yes we have extra diesel cost [and M25], but I would feel 'robbed' paying that price.
We live in Somerset and were thinking of visiting Southern Brittany ... We could go to Dover and get across .. but that would mean an extra 4 days travelling,.
Norfolk line have the cheek to charge £4 for a credit card payment & Brittany ferries obviously don't see the need for special offers at the caravan show.
Long crossings are a different buisness model from short crossings, at all times any crossing will be priced to sell & we have a choice, which is what competition is all about.
All ferry companies make most of their profits from freight anyway & while tourist traffic is an important part of their buisness it is not the main part. The exception to this was Speedferries, who went bust, although I think we have them to thank for our cheap Dover fares.

But if you can halve the £700 price (or at least make a big saving) on Condor going from a western port, why bother going via Dover? I guess it may be too late if you've booked. I do wonder why Condor dont publish their prices until very late.
We also live in Somerset. Now our boys have left school. we can please ourselves.
If you save Tesco points, then transfer them to Airmiles, they can be used to purchase tickets on BrittanyFerries. Its not a huge saving, but it all helps. If you travel Plymouth to Roscoff, the Tuesday sailing is always cheapest. We book lunchtime sailing.
i should have been on the ferry sunday to santander but its been cancelled. till next week all being well. my camper does about 15-16 to a gallon .going to dover costs 250quid round trip .driving through france about 500 quid return so taking the plymouth to spain ferry at 576 quid is cheap . saves wear n tear should only take 24 hours . shame i have to wait a week. .
give you something to laugh /smile about ,cheers alan

We wanted to go to France for summer '09 so started looking this time last year.At the time, because of my job(childminder) we were towing with a small minibus( no longer than a volvo estate or taller than a Land Rover). Our caravan is nearly 27 ft long-but the issue when booking was the minibus. This bumped the price up by nearly £500 compared with using a car-the quote for both minibus and 'van for the ferry with Brittany was £920-more than the cost of the actual holiday on the campsite itself.I did ( sarcastically) ask if we got our own section of the boat for that but it didn't go down very well!! Condor ferries said we were too long and couldn't accomodate us!! Even the Channel Tunnel was over £600!!Needless to say, we stayed in England. In June we invested in a 12 year old Ford Explorer so I tried for quotes again. The Brittany ferry price was halved!! We've decided to use the channel tunnel, which is £276 and will be paying for it using my Tesco vouchers!! Brittany ferries are the most expensive but I really don't see how they can justify their prices-we didn't even get a cabin for that!!
