In September 2008 we had temperatures of 38 degrees in Millau - and it didn't get cold during the evenings.  Only once, in that area, have we had cool nights - and that was years ago, so I wouldn't worry.

Les Rivages is a really nice site - I've some photographs taken there somewhere and did have them in 'my gallery'.  It's ideally situated - walking distance into Millau for shopping and market day, alongside the river, and with the right pitch you have a lovely view of the Millau viaduct across the river. When we were last there we had some lovely meals in the restaurant - they had a daily special menu, which was very good value.

I hope you and everyone else has a great Christmas - definitely a white one, for us this year with more snow coming down as I type!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY.

Millau is quite a way south so its usually pretty warm. When we were at Les Rivages it was very hot but it was earlier than August. This year we did not return home until mid October and I would say that temperatures held up pretty well until early October.

This is a nice site, we stayed at the beginning of September and the weather was still good enough to eat outside at a restaurant in town during the evening. I'm sure the site will be busy during August but it seems to have enough space for everybody. As others have said, try and grab a pitch by the river, if you fancy, you can fish from the pitch and have a lovely view of the bridge....

Dont want to rain on your parade but we were there early august.  Its a big site.  The piches are quite small and they double up on the bigger ones, not so good for privacy.!!.  It appeals to a lot of dutch teens who were very noisy late at night and management didnt seem to care.  One night they wreaked the kids club tent smashing beer bottles etc. I would say its good for an overnight stop but wouldnt go back there for a long stay in high season.

On the plus side weather down there was on the whole great, although we did have a few spectacular storms (at night tho).

I've used this site a couple of times outside high season and found it excellent...and indeed had a walk round this year when in Millau, last week in August. After the first two weeks in August, the site empties and you will frind plenty of pitches, and indeed be able to have a section intended for 4 units all to yourself.....it's well situated to walk into Millau for the shops & restaurants and as a base for touring the  Tarn & Jonte Gorges.
