Hello
I was wondering whether anybody knows how busy Austria will be in July 2010?
I know that France is busy during this time with their holidays but I am unsure of Austria.

Also I would like to a approximate temperature?

We will be staying at Park Grubhof in Lofer near the German border and was wondering what thoughts people had to this site??

We have been to Austria several times but never in July. I would have thought that it would be busy as its the main holiday season, unless its early in the month. I think the key is the school holidays so a Google looking at German and Austrian holidays might be useful.

Like David we go to Austria earlier than July but usually in June it is starting to get busy when we leave.  Mostly go to Southern Austria but it is very nice around the Mondsee, Wolfgangsee Area where we have stopped enroute.  Easy to get to Salzburg and area too which is very good.  Have not been to the Lofer site you mention so cannot help you there.  The temperature in June in Southern Austria is very warm it is usually 28 to 30 degrees C in May when there so should not be a lot different in July except maybe hotter.

Oh that's great!! We can't go until July because of exams for the kids. But we don't it busy and the way the site is positioned it looks very spacious so it never looks busy and also we were prepared for heat with last year in the south of France.
