Do the campsite themselves not provide one if you email or phone them?

Yes, it depends on your tent/caravan, and whether you want sun, shade or a mixture of both. Also if you want to be near the facilities/washblocks. The pitches in the woods are lovely...although some people suffer with bites. When it's sunny (like last August) it can get very hot on the full-sun pitches, so you'll need a fan if you're there during the day. We prefer to visit the coast and aren't often on-site during the day.

I can't find my map, but I'm sure if you email Monsieur Gagnard he will send you a map, he's very helpful. Families request the same pitches year after year; when we arrive we're always pleased to see the same people. This year will be our 5th year there.

We're going July/August too, it seems a million miles away at the moment with the cold and snow.

We're coming down from St Malo so only a short run by comparison. I swore I would never drive through France on a Saturday again after this year so we're arriving on Friday 23rd.

Hi Terry we travel from Dunkerque too, and go via Rouen stop over night north of Le Mans at a municiple called Beaumont Sur Sarthe which is very nice and cheap and then carry on via Le Mans and Tours etc.
