Hi all, Christmas is now out the way and I look towards taking the family camping in France this summer.

My plan will be to go for 2 weeks and take in Disney land Paris for 2-3 days on the way.Ideally we would like to end up on the coast,I was thinking around the Vendee region,Or would it be easier to head elsewhere?

I am willing to have a go at planning the whole lot myself or would anyone recommend any sites that do it for you,and at what sort of extra cost is it on average do they charge for the service?

2 sites I have glanced at are Alan Rogers and Select site.Has anyone used these?

We will be camping in a Idaho xl with or without front extension. So pitch size will be an issue.

My boys are 6 and 4

If anyone has any recommendations I would be very grateful of any pointers.

Kind Regards

Morgan

Best way is to decide on sites/routes etc., and check on-line prices (most sites now have their own website which will give you a quote) - then check via Select Sites or Alan Rogers.  I'm almost certain that you'll find it cheaper to do it yourself - after all they have to make a living from putting the packages together.  I know sometimes the Caravan Club/Caravanning and Camping Club can offer deals - and it may be that others do to, but it's so easy to do it all yourself now - and make sure you get exactly what you want.

we have been there 3 times, and hoping to go again in Oct, we too love it :

we tend to drive to Disney from there though,it takes approx an hour,a nice easy drive

We have only stayed in the static caravans, but the facilities for campers are supposed to be good too

The pools are due to be refurbed this year which will make it even better

Closer to Disney approx 15 mins is Les Chene Gris : http://www.lechenegris.com/uk/accomodatie2.php
