can you tel me your favorite site in france, and favorite place . we have been to argeles for the past 3 years and its a fantastic place we have tried various sites, all various prices,all have been very good , but facilities  vary a lot

camping le pont , Boyne , near Millau, right in the Tarn gorges , very basic , loads of shade , owner comes round for his money on an evening & has a glass of wine with you , a proper "away from it all " experience !!!

Went to Le Soliel in Argeles this year.....really couldn't fault the site. Absolutely brilliant location/facilities etc

Raguenez Plage in brittany. Not the site for you if you have teens/like action and entertainment but an immaculate site and very restful!

Ax les Thermes in the Pyrrenees. Municipal camsite at Luzenac, nearby.

St. Nectaire in Auvergne (East of the Sancy), also the municipal site, used to be very nice.

Also in Auvergne/Artense, west of the Sancy, just east of Bort les Orgues: the municipal campsite of Champs sur Tarentaine, very very nice site (french toilets for the gents though).

Salers in the Cantal (Southern part of Auvergne), don't remember the name of the site, its just to the east of Salers. Medieval town, beautiful landscapes, extremely good walking area.
