Hi all,

We,re thinking of doing France this year and making our way across to the Alps area. We have a motorbike that travels in our motor home we want to take it with us .

What I need to know, if anyone can help is, will we be OK on a sea France ferry with the motorbike, and what will those nice customs people have to say about it.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance

Regards
Steve

The customs will have nothing to say about it if it is insured etc, in your name & obviously you must carry the same docs. as you carry for the vehicle you are driving. When you book the ferry you must include the bike on its carrier in the overall length of your vehicle.

Cheers Tentz,

I'll take all my bike doc's with me.

and the bike wont be on a carrier, it's inside the motorhome.

The only possible problem that I could see arising would be if the motorcycle was a differnt fuel from the motorhome. Then you would possibly have to declare the fact that you had such a thing in the motorhome. You would have to look into this yourself and see what the regulations were regarding what fuels you were allowed to carry on the ferry.
