I am going to Italy for 3 months in April and I am a bit worried about gas supplys. I intend to cook by electric most of the time but I have found out that most of the Italian sites only supply 6amps or less and that will make it difficult. I am taking 2x 6kg calor bottles and a907 camping gaz . I know I will be able to refil the camping gaz, Does any one know the situation for Italian gas?

A 907 bottle will last a few wks if you are only cooking, Its fridges running continuously that use the gas, 1 wk on a 907, but I assume you will be on EHU for fridge so the gas you have should last you, even if you do have 1 change of a 907 it will still be loads cheaper than getting local gas bottles.
It don't matter on the ferry & the tunnel is ok with gas bottles, they just check sometimes to make sure they are off. The 80% thing is irrelavent, A full gas bottle is never completely full.

I suspect you will find that you don't even use the two full Calor bottles, especially if you don't use the gas for heating or the fridge. Taking a 907 is a good belt and braces thing. Don't forget you also need a pigtail if you have the bulkhead regulator.
