We are going by the Euroshuttle for the first time this year and used £60 of Tesco vouchers to pay for the trip. As Ina said they prefer you to use a credit card to pay for the difference (£4 in our case) and you then use the same credit card to check in at the unmanned booths on either side of the tunnel together with an eight digit reference No.

The last couple of times we went, we didn't even need our credit card to check in. Thanks to the automatic number plate recognition, the system "knows" you as soon as you approach the check in barrier. When you go up to the check in machine, it already has your name and details displayed! How's that for Big Brother watching you?
It's very easy though, since they asked for your registration number at the time of booking, you only need to confirm your details, no need to input credit card details.
Stena Line cross Harwich to Hook of Holland (amongst others) but not to France. We are going to Duinrell at Easter & going out on the Euro Tunnel & back with Stena all paid for by mr.Tesco. Stena even let us use the vouchers to pay for 4 buffet meals in the restaurant as well as a premier cabin (late afternoon crossing). Sorted !

That is interesting: Stena will take a single booking with Tesco vouchers from Holland to England. I'm remarking on this as Eurotunnel will NOT let you book one way with them from France to England, only from England to France.
Hi,
I was abit worried when I read the thread saying about not being able to travel from france one way with Tesco vouchers, but I didn't have any probs booking with Stena ,vouchers sent off & accepted & had all paperwork so all seems ok.Really good deal so long as you order all at the same time you can use vouchers to pay for meals too.
------------- finally camping in term time

We had to alter our plans which were to go with Stena and come back Eurotunnel. As they only allow one way , we are booking with Norfolk Line one way for the way home.
