Thinking of buying some of these for our 7 nights in France at the end of May. I've used Camping Cheques in the past but am a bit unsure about the touring cheques. It appears they are owned by Eurocamp. Last year the website was never up to date, this year the brochure says one thing the site another (ie some of the sites I'm looking at are 7 nights for the price of 6 in the book but no mention of this on the website). I worry we may get to a site and find the dates and free nights are wrong.

 We subscribe to Camping magazine and there is an offer on through their "camping club" that if we buy 10 cheques we only have to pay for 8. Including the £10 admin fee for buying cheques only (a rip off IMO) each cheque will then work out at £11.36. Using the 7 nights for 6 we could have a week on some really nice sites for £68.16 and just pay the extra as usual for DD.

We would also have 4 cheques left for use next year. Or should I stick to CC's? Would love to hear any experiences of using touring cheques.

We've used them in the past at Bastide en Ardeche, and elsewhere, and we've got a couple for this year (which only cost £5.00!!) and had no problems.  However, the website was out of date with information - and it certainly doesn't appear to have been updated for 2010.  In fact, looking at it the other day, a lot of sites have no dates at all on the information page.

If there are sites you like the look of, then I don't think you'll actually have any problems with them, but it would be worth ringing Eurocamp to ask them to verify the dates for the sites you're interested in.

We used them last year, no problem, at Ganspette (which also takes Camping Cheques) and Bastide as above. Don't know about the dates/offers though, we have this year's book and I assumed it was correct. Not nearly so many sites as CC of course.
