We've stayed at this site 2 or 3 times in the last 3 years, and can honestly say that we have never smelled any sewage!! The cycling is lovely, if you want, you can cycle all the way to Dieppe!
There are also cyclepaths near St Valery sur Somme, and a bit further north, around Rue, and Fort Mahon Plage, with a number of sign-posted routes as well, we've done a number of those and they are really nice. There is a website, where you can download the routes/maps, may be useful for you. Website link HERE
