Hi all - I really like the look of this site and the reviews look great. However, there are lots of mentions on the reviews about how the site is great for younger children and I was just wondering if my teenagers would be as happy as I would be on this site? Has anyone been here before with teenagers? Thanks

me too as next year it will be a toss up between Pin Parasol and La Guyonniere and our kids will be 15 and 12 next year.
Off to nearby La Garangeoire this whitweek as their outdoor pool and slides are open then and banking on it being a bit busier with english kids for 11 yr old to meet. Looks a no go in high season though as gets to busy and too British if that makes sense. We will be making visits to PP and Guyonniere whilst there to check them out for 2011!!!

Thats great pager, ours will be 15 and 13yrs, but arent really into taking part in lots of activities, thats why sites that are more suitable for younger children have worked in the past. Now that they are older I would hope that they will join in more.
Son likes to fish and is into Warhammer so takes models with him that need painted.
Daughter is into horse riding and reading.
Hubby likes to attempt to play golf and they all like to bodyboard.
I like to go for walks and having peace and quiet when they are all occupied
So finding somewhere that all this is possible, preferably onsite, or without driving for miles would be my ideal site.
Ok will wait with interest.
Still have to see what the oracle (Val) comes up with with regard to camping cheques as we will most likely be going mid to end of August.

We went there last year for 10 nights in August. 14 and 15 year old daughters enjoyed it. There was wi-fi around the bar area as well as table tennis tables where teenagers met. There was a large football game going on one evening that we saw the closing stages of. Other nationalities there as well to mingle with.
Teenagers are well catered at la guyonniere and they all seem to get on with each other. We have been to la guyonniere for the last two years and have spoken to friends who been to both and have said la guyonniere is a better site than pin parasol.
The only downside I could see would be that its quite isolated so if they aren't happy on site there is nowhere for them to go. The pool is pretty basic compared to some of the larger sites with only a small slide, so if they like the flumes its not a good choice. There is a bar area which hosts karaoke etc.
There is fishing and the ponies are just "handed over" to you... we were horrified when we got given a two helmets for the kids and a pony and told to bring them back in an hour... was OK though, the pony knew where to go LOL!
