Going to Germany at Easter and staying near Luxembourg border. We usually go to France at Easter and stock up with wine. Are wine prices in Luxembourg similar to those in France,or will a day trip to France be in order? Anyone been to Carrefour in Luxembourg?
We are crossing Hull to Zeebrugge.
Thanks for any advice
John
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I don't know the price of wine in Luxembourg, but German prices are not very high. If you go into Aldi, Lidl or a special liqor store, you'll get a very good selection wines for a good price. Also have a look at the onboard wine offers on the ferry, they can save you quite a lot as well.

From my limited experience, you're probably better going into Germany for the shopping, but Luxembourg has traditionally been the cheapest for fuel.
I don't know exactly where you're staying, but I'd recommend either the Toom supermarket (near the railway station) in Saarburg or Trier which has quite decent shopping.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
We stayed in Luxembourg 18 months ago - fuel definitely cheaper, there was a continuous stream of cars from Germany at the garage. The garages where we were also had large shops attached selling wine, spirits and cigarettes - all much cheaper than Germany or Holland.
