The German sites are usually well organised etc

Seriously we stayed at a site in Austria where Hi DI Hi type announcements were made about quiet etc.

Which reminds me don't arrive at a German site during mittags pause as they won't let you in until the exact second of the opening

The first X had problems with ;timing chain,clutch and BLACK diesel smoke .We did 28000 miles(same tyres).

The dealer fixed the first two under warranty with courtesy car provided and the smoking was cured with new injectors etc at Interdiesel in Figueras ,Spain

Always felt happy with the vehicle as transport and it towed  superbly.

We bought the face lifted model in Jan this year and its much smoother and quieter that the original and tows like a dream.Done 9000 miles and not been back to the garage yet.

Talking of stiff upper lips you may appreciate this story.

When I was teaching we couldn't afford from the school budget to have rubber safety tiles under the climbing frame.When we went to Hamelin I saw some guys (obviously not a clue) erecting an awning.

When I approached them they were British soldiers and had been volunteered to put up an officers (Station Staff?) awning.----"who's put up a tent?" etc

When I looked at the awning base it was the rubber safety tiles that we could not afford.The caravan was about 25 feet long ! I was told that all army schools had them and that these had been diverted
