A couple of years ago we had to ditch the attempt to use one because the pay lane was like a McDonalds drive through - all very narrow and twisty. Would be good to hear of any 'easy' ones near the main route south (Rouen Chartres Orleans etc), as going to Le Ch'tmi (sp) this year.

There's a good one at the Super U at Igoville, just before Pont de l'Arche, on the bend on the N15, south of Rouen.  It's cheap, and caravan accessible.

We've kept a record of 'accessible' fuel stations in our Michelin map - post-it type stickers on the top of the pages, and when we buy a new map we transfer the stickers over into the new book and mark the location.  We also mark picnic stops, and anything else which interests us.

There's an Intermarche at Vernouille, a suburb of Dreux which we always aim for, it's on the right when heading South on the main road which would all use.

We always travel solo so havn't taken much notice as to how caravan friendly it is but as far as I remember its all quite straightforward although you have to travel the full length of the car park to get to the pumps.  Apologies if in practice it turns out I'm misleading anyone.

can anyone whos been to france recently confirm the 24 hour pumps accept uk debit cards , ie , abbey/santander.

anymore known caravan friendly supermarket filling stations on the rouen/evereux/chartres/nevers route ???

Between Orleans, and Gien on the D952 (our old Michelin map gives this number), at Ouzouer sur Loire there's a small supermarket with fuel station just off the roundabout heading back towards Sully sur Loire on the D119 - perfectly caravan accessible, and cheap. (Found as a result of a forced detour because of a 'Route Barree').

There's another accessible fuel station to the north of Cosne sur Loire - but I've not got the Michelin map handy at the moment (I've not yet copied all the details from old to new).
